The senior full-stack engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining web components for the University’s top-tier web properties. In addition, the role contributes to code standards, accessibility standards, server maintenance, and crafting world-class digital experiences. The senior full-stack engineer will transition between these programming disciplines daily. The position is 40% frontend development, 40% server-side, and 20% server (Linux distro). A strong background in PHP & Javascript/Typescript is essential. The role will design a system’s architecture, components, and interfaces based on business requirements.
The senior full-stack engineer will be a development lead for high-traffic web properties such as umd.edu, admissions.umd.edu, and alumni.umd.edu. Additionally, the position will contribute to our design system and make minor updates to legacy web properties.
