The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) invites applications for a one-year Contingent II Contractual Web Developer position. The successful candidate will work with an established and dynamic team in partnership with Chesapeake Bay Program. The Chesapeake Bay Program maintains several websites as a primary method of informing citizens and stakeholders about Chesapeake Bay protection and restoration efforts.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director of Web Development as part of the Web Development Team. Typical areas of responsibility for this position will include:
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and between 0-5 years of experience. A background in web development, design, user experience and excellent communication skills are desired.
This position may be filled as a full-time or part-time contractual position, and subsidized health benefits eligibility will be determined by the number of hours worked. The funding for this position is from a federal grant.
